Universal Studios is preparing a new film in the famous sci-fi franchise “Jurassic Park”. According to insiders, the project will be a “complete reboot” and the screenwriter of the original 1993 and 1997 films, David Koepp, who adapted Michael Creighton’s novels, is involved.
The upcoming project is a completely new take on Jurassic World, and at the time of writing this post there are no plans for both the return of actors from the original trilogy – Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill – and the stars of the Jurassic World sequel trilogy, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Steven Spielberg (Amblin Entertainment) will take on executive producer duties, with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley serving as producers.
Note that at the ongoing Sundance Film Festival was presented a new collaboration between Steven Soderbergh and David Koepp – a psychological thriller “Presence”, which has a 100% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
